Ameen, Ya Rabb al-‘Alameen.
“Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy, in that let them rejoice. It is better than all that they accumulate.”
Alhamdulillah, by the grace and generosity of Allah, I have received my Ijazah in the narration of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim from my respected Sheikh, Mahmood Elakkawi. It is a great blessing and honor to become part of this blessed chain connected to the Prophet ﷺ, through Jibreel عليه السلام, from Allah Almighty.
First and foremost, I thank Allah سبحانه وتعالى for this blessing. I then express my deepest gratitude to my beloved father, who taught me the Qur’an and helped me memorize the Book of Allah, and to my uncle and teacher, who taught me the art of recitation and the different maqamat. May Allah reward them both with the best reward.
My sincere appreciation, gratitude and dua also goes to Sheikh Kifah Mustapha, who wanted this goodness for me and encouraged me along the way.
I am also grateful to everyone who attended, shared this joyfullness with me, and showed their love and appreciation, especially Sheikh Marwan Kassak, Sheikh Fahmy Abdel Qawy, Dr. Akram Khuluqi, and all my dear brothers and friends.
I would not have reached this point without the grace of Allah, followed by the prayers, teaching, and guidance of my parents and shuyookh. I ask Allah to always keep me humble, grant me sincerity, acceptance, and tawfeeq, and enable me to teach His Book to others.
May Allah use me for goodness and for the service of the Qur’an and its people. May He reward my parents, teachers, and everyone who supported me with the best of this life and the Hereafter.
